Maximize your time in Turkey, and visit two of its “must-see” destinations – Cappadocia and Pamukkale, on this 3-day tour from Istanbul travelling by plane and overnight coach. Small group tours with expert local guides in each location will ensure you don’t miss out on key sites. You will have a free evening in Cappadocia to soak up the atmosphere and sample some of the local cuisine. In Cappadocia you’ll check out an underground city, early Christian churches carved into rocks, and the surreal, lunar-like landscape of this area before travelling by comfortable, overnight coach to Pamukkale. In Pamukkale, you will marvel at the natural wonder that is the famous “cotton castle". You will also have an opportunity to swim in the thermal waters that made the nearby ancient city of Hierapolis a drawcard for people from all over the Roman Empire, before flying back to Istanbul.

Day 1 – Istanbul to Cappadocia 
Pick up from your Istanbul hotel at 5:00 am and transfer to Istanbul airport for your 7:00 am flight to Kayseri. On arrival, you will be transferred to meet with your tour group for your day of exploring this magical area. First up is a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Goreme Open Air Museum with its tiny churches cut into the rocks, and adorned with beautiful frescoes. We continue to Pasabag, also known as Monk's Valley, home to some of the best formed fairy chimneys in the area. Before stopping for lunch, we will visit Devrent Valley, also known as "Imagination Valley". After a satisfying lunch, we will visit a pottery workshop for an entertaining demonstration and to learn about this important local industry. Other stops include Zelve Valley, and Pigeon Valley. Finish the day with a visit to Uchisar Castle where you will have a great opportunity for a panoramic view of Cappadocia. At the end of the tour you will drive back to your cave hotel and check in.

Day 2 - Cappadocia Sightseeing Tour / Overnight bus to Pamukkale 
Optional:  A sunrise Cappadocia hot air balloon ride can be arranged for 130 euro p.p

Today's tour starts at 9.30am. First up will be a stop at Esentepe, a popular spot for enjoying a panoramic view of the surreal landscape. We then drive to Derinkuyu Underground City. As you explore the facilities which includes stables, cellars, chapels and wine presses, your guide will regale you with tales of the lives of the early Christians who built it. Continue to Ihlara Valley where you may choose to hike a section of the valley which has tiny churches cut into the rocks. Lunch will be at charming Belisirma Village. Relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings before we visit Selime Monastery. After the tour, you will be dropped back to your hotel. Relax until 7:00 pm when you will be transferred to the bus station for your night bus to Pamukkale.

Day 3 - Pamukkale Hierapolis Tour / Flight to Istanbul
Our driver will meet your bus at Denizli, and drive you the short distance to Pamukkale, where you will have an opportunity to freshen up and have breakfast before your tour starts at 9:30 am. Today, explore ancient Hierapolis and the magnificent white travertines (thermal pools), while learning what life was like here in ancient times. Enjoy free time at the Cleopatra Antique Pool, choosing to either sit and relax, swim in the soothing thermal waters (entrance an extra 32TL per person) or wander and explore the travertines. At the end of the tour you will be transferred to Denizli airport for your flight to Istanbul, where you will be transferred to your hotel on arrival.
